Whenever I go to Salem, NH to do my shopping I try to stop at the Geremonty Marsh on Geremonty Drive. It is a place I found from looking at the Birding Hotspots on the eBird map of New Hampshire. The last time I was here it was still brown and gray but now everything is turning green. With a gorgeous blue sky and puffy clouds to boot, it was a perfect day to go bird watching. Gus recently bought us a new Nikon Coolpix as an easy camera to carry and take snapshots. On this particular day I was still recovering from a muscle strain in my back and could not carry around my Nikon D80 with its 70 – 300mm lens, plus bins, so I slipped the thin and lightweight Coolpix camera into my pocket and off I went. With a light breeze blowing the weather was perfect and I thought I would not have to worry about mosquitoes. Later on my ankle told me different as I spent days scratching or rather, trying not to scratch!
