The Birds of Michael Perry Park

1. BTGN-kab Black-tailed Gnatcatcher in Michael Perry Park 2-25-2013
I discovered Michael Perry Park after moving here last fall. When I discovered in February that there was little to no ebird data on this birding Hotspot I decided to make it my new patch. The park is located on the east side off Tucson, AZ south of Golf Links Road near the Pantano Parkway. It has restrooms, a playground, picnic tables, a basketball court, and baseball fields. There is a paved trail along the Pantano Wash suitable for running, biking, or just strolling along. I started counting birds here in the fall of 2012. This is the list of all the birds species I have seen and counted at this location. I hope to add to this list as the year goes along. I love this park! There are more photos at the end of the list.

  1. Always love your bird photography. That Anna's hummer is so sweet in a nest that looks like it's decorated with bits of paper.
