Tufted Titmouse, Andover, MA 2-27-11
Snow! After predicting 1-3” if snow we awoke this morning to 6-7” of that white stuff!
The birds are flocking to my feeders which I have refilled since returning from a week spent in Connecticut.

Red Squirrel in Feeder 2-27-11
No, it is not trapped! It climbed in there itself through the openings and gorged on birdseed, then it climbed down. I suppose this squirrel considers this it’s own private diningroom! (The little rascal!)
Meanwhile, Breezy Boy and Bonnie have the right idea. What better way to spend a snowy day!

Wonderful, Kathie!
ReplyDeleteLast I looked you were at Sycamore Canyon! Great that you're keeping it up! Great shots!
Cheers, Klaus
I'm with the cats. We got about the same amount of snow. My feeders have been extremely busy. And one of the visitors a cousin to your titmouse. The power even went off for a while last night. I experienced my first brownout. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteKlaus, it has been so long! Do you have a new webpage? I tried to find your blog but it only has old posts! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteGaelyn, I'm inside blogging as you can see but wish I had some wood for the fireplace. Going to spend time with the husband but will be by to visit you soon!
Oh Yeah, we also have to go shovel that stuff!
Love your photographs Kathie!
ReplyDeleteKathie, your Titmouse photos are beautiful. I do not know about you but I am really tired of the snow and this winter. I am so ready for spring. Your kitties look nice and warm and cozy.
ReplyDeleteStunning images of the Tufted Titmouse Kathie.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mention Kathie!
ReplyDeleteWe got quite a bit of snow in Utah this weekend. I also picked up some new bulk bird seed in a box at Costco and its good quality stuff. The birds are sure enjoying it.

ReplyDeleteSilly squirrel!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Tufted Titmouse images! That silly squirrel has it made ... cute! Oh my, those prescious cozy kitties. A joy to view your blog!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, great images! I especially liked the contrast of the titmouse against the snow and of course that squirrel! Seems you made the most of being snowed in!
ReplyDeleteHowdee Dearie...
ReplyDeleteYikes...more snow!! Looks beautiful from here:) The little squirrel looks happy in its new birdseed cage...
Sweet kitties too..
I've had the week off and Stella-dog and I have done our darndest to keep those pesky squirrels out of our feeder. Worked part of the time...
ReplyDeleteLove that picture - and all of the, actually.
You got the perfect shots of a Tufted Titmouse, Kathie. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKathie, your tufted titmouse was so much closer than the one I captured during a weekend walk. A couple have come to our feeders, but infrequently. This one was wonderful to see up close - thanks! The squirrel looked quite cozy and certainly well fed. My problem is with blackbirds, grackles and starlings which are not so attractive. Kitties look very cozy and have the right idea on a snowy day.
ReplyDeleteWow absolutely terrific photos! And those kitties look so warm and comfy. Brrrrr! I am glad I live in CA. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great set of photos. Our resident Red Squirrel does the same in our feeders. The cats look so comfy!
