I went to count birds last Wednesday night, March 7, 2012 at Lion’s Pond in Colchester, CT. Little did I know that I would get to watch the moonrise as well. As grackles and red-winged blackbirds flew across the sky and a pair of mallards settled onto the pond, the full moon slipped up from behind the tree line and floated into the sky. What a treat!
Spectacular shots!

ReplyDeleteAwe inspiring series! Just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteExquisite, Kathie. You have captured the moon in all her glory. Did you get to count those grackles and blackbirds and mallards or did this magnificent moon distract you? It would have distracted me.
