Weathervane atop fountain in City Square Park, Charlestown, MA 8-12-11
With the possible approach of hurricane Irene it seems only appropriate to have a weathervane as this week’s Skywatch Friday post! I photographed this weathervane atop the fountain in Charlestown's City Square Park 2 weeks ago. There were plenty of blue skies then, but…
…perhaps this froggy is ready for some rain!
Happy Skywatch Friday!
I’ve also posted a new poem on Kathie’s Poet Tree: I Know What is coming.
I think this is going to be the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on. I really admire your photography skills and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

ReplyDeletehope the weather stays mild for you
Nice weathervane. Hope it doesn't go spinning away during the high winds. Be safe.
ReplyDeleteI love to see all sorts of weather vanes. They are all unique pieces of art.

A man who looked up at the sky
Saw ravens and clouds flying by.
He had to look up,
The sky filled his cup—
He’s my kind of sky-watching guy!

That is a very pretty cool weathervane. Is MA going to be affected by hurricane Irene? You all take care. Thanks for the visit!

Good luck with the big storm. We are traveling to Boston soon and madly digging through our desert wardrobes, trying to figure out what to bring!
