1-10-12 Snowy Owl Plum Island-kab Snowy Owl at Sandy Point on Plum Island 1-10-12

This is just one of two snowy owls I saw today out on Plum Island where I went searching for more birds to add to my Big January Bird Count. By the end of the day I added 15 species to my count bringing my total to 47. More pictures and the story to follow! But for now…Good night!

  9. I'm so jealous. Folks are still seeing Snowy Owls in my hometown of Nampa, Idaho. I'm so tempted to travel there to visit the birds (and family).

I'm sitting at 59 species for the year so far and itching to get out to some new habitat for more.
